The Time Colonist has dutifully reported Alberta Premier Jason Kenney’s assertion at least twice that sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ has had a carbon tax for 10 years and that it has made no difference to the pattern of forest fires here.
He adds that forest fires have always happened and, they always will.
How about doing some actual reporting of actual facts — rather than just parroting twaddle from our politicians while the world burns? It used to be called journalism.
Can you tell us how many forest fires there were in B.C and Alberta annually over the last 10 or 20 years. Is there a pattern?
Are the sales and use of air conditioners rising in British Columbia and, if so, why?
What have sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ governments done with the revenue from the carbon tax and how has success been measured with respect to impact on carbon production?
Please do some reporting that provides the details and facts to support people in forming their opinions on climate change and what can be done or needs to be done.
