I would like to make a public statement of gratitude towards my landlord, Belmont Properties Ltd, Vancouver, because I believe it needs to be on the record.
My landlord has shown tremendous compassion toward the tenants of Lindsay Place in Esquimalt after a major fire on April 7. They committed their own resources and revenues to assure we were decently housed, and that more than half of us returned to our homes as soon as possible. They continue to commit to the other tenants with restoration and alternative homes. Those of us back in have an upgraded fire system.
One of the employees told me he has never been prouder to work for a company than he is now. I would be, too.
What other landlord would have done all this with a recently purchased rental building?
