While I applaud sa国际传媒 Transit鈥檚 latest proposal for additional late-night service, I do have one major concern as it relates to the buses as they drive past late at night.
For the routes proposed, sa国际传媒 Transit seems to have forgotten one key element in this whole equation: Noise pollution, especially late at night, when noise carries much further. Those of us who live on these busy bus corridors get to listen to the drone of their engines both decelerating and accelerating every 30 minutes after midnight as they come to a bus stop to pick up or let off passengers.
As a light sleeper, I don鈥檛 relish the thought of listening to these buses going past in both directions until 2:30聽or 3 a.m., based on what is being proposed.
Let鈥檚 hope sa国际传媒 Transit can find a way to mitigate this noise issue that would allow residents a peaceful night鈥檚 sleep while accommodating bus travellers at the same time.
