We are all familiar with the popular adage 鈥渢here ain鈥檛 no free lunch,鈥� so why does the socialist-heavy Victoria city council float the idea of 鈥渇ree transit for all鈥� without letting us know how it can find the $43 million the transit commission says would be the financial shortfall?
Let me guess. Another property tax increase.
Are we trying to outdo the city of Moscow, where the state heavily subsidizes transit, yet locals still pay 35聽rubles for a single ride 鈥� about 73聽cents Canadian?
