Public sector prospers while others struggle

It is somewhat ironic that the recent reports of outlandish spending in the sa国际传媒 legislature are released at the same time as a poll showing a significant number of Canadians are just $200 away from insolvency.

It is somewhat ironic that the recent reports of outlandish spending in the sa国际传媒 legislature are released at the same time as a poll showing a significant number of Canadians are just $200 away from insolvency. While many struggle just to pay their bills, it appears others on the public purse are struggling to justify their expense claims. Who doesn鈥檛 need another pair of mother-of-pearl cufflinks?

This is nothing new and just shows the increasing divide between the public and private sectors. I think most will agree government spending is completely out of control.

Perhaps the next time the government says it needs a tax increase to pay for increasing services, it should get its own house in order, before trying to tax the houses of the struggling public. You never know how much cash they鈥檒l find in the liquor cabinet behind the new wood-splitter. My guess is there will be a trailer load.
