sa国际传媒鈥檚 aggressive program for reducing CO2 emissions by 2040 is highly commendable. Also, the apparent buy-in by most British Columbians is equally impressive.
Contrast this with the non-action by most of the other provinces and the current situation in France, where an anticipated increase in the carbon tax has caused the birth of the yellow-vest movement, whose mass protests have roiled Paris on recent weekends.
Unfortunately, even a major reduction in our annual CO2 emissions would be a drop in the global emissions bucket. sa国际传媒 currently represents less than two-tenths of one per cent of global emissions, which are still on the rise. Unless the major polluting nations do their share, we will be left with little to show for our noble effort other than our pride for having fought the good fight.
