It astonishes me that the Ministry of Transportation is willing to consider every possible option for relieving the congestion on the Malahat 鈥� except for the most obvious one, which is to renew the E&N rail link up-Island.
Other cities with similar problems would give their eye teeth for a ready-made, existing rail line, which needs only upgrading to be made operational again.
And please, no more doubters saying: 鈥淭here鈥檚 no demand for it.鈥� That鈥檚 like saying there鈥檚 no demand for sunshine in Victoria in the wintertime.
