While I can appreciate the sa国际传媒鈥檚 view on the value of lights and decorations during the Christmas season, I confess to feeling dismayed by the insertion of other unrelated opinions within this editorial.
The most glaring intrusion is the reference to Mayor Lisa Helps seeking approval from council to hire an assistant. If I were the editor, I would have blue-pencilled these three paragraphs so that readers would not get the impression the editorial writer was just ranting.
