I am not convinced this 鈥渟pecial adviser鈥� has either the credentials or experience to be investigating this type of situation. Working in the prison system and investigating issues inside that type of facility is light-years different than what is going on here. Even more disturbing is the fact that he was clandestinely parachuted in because he is a friend of the Speaker.
If you don鈥檛 have the right people doing the right job and it goes sideways, look out. The government hasn鈥檛 got an enviable track record here. Let鈥檚 not forget the horrendous mess they made of handling the alleged data breaches in the Ministry of Health, and the collateral damage and cost to those individuals lives and reputations.
Tread carefully and be sure you have the right people doing the job before you start drawing inferences and conclusions, not some special adviser from a jail.
