About 1.6 million homeowners stand 鈥渁ccused鈥� of being 鈥減otential鈥� speculators. To prove otherwise, the accused/innocent homeowner must provide formal 鈥渆vidence鈥� to tax administrators, to avoid paying an annual 鈥渟peculation鈥� tax.
Speculation: The forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence. Our elected government formed a theory, based on conjecture, without evidence, the result of which will not solve the problem.
Cheeky: Asking voters to trust them, when they don鈥檛 trust us.
