I was fortunate to share a newsroom with Jim Taylor in 1955, around the time we both landed jobs with the then-Daily Colonist.
I was raw and challenged. Jim was raw but talented, eager to have his skills honed. He was the brilliant brat of the newsroom, quick with the quip and a devilish laugh when he scored.
Much will be said of Jim鈥檚 career as he built it over the decades across the land. But on the life side, his friendship and loyalty were just as remarkable.
