And so it begins. What was a left-leaning city council is now radically left, and it only took a week for the social-justice drums to start beating.
With zero mandate and zero money, our city council will start the process of turning Victoria into a mecca for the homeless and downtrodden. Permanent tent cities like those that cover vast areas of Seattle, San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles won鈥檛 be far behind.
We will look back at this election in utter dismay when our downtown core deteriorates further into a slum.
