OK, Speaker of the house, be true to your own word and resign. Speaker Darryl Plecas stated back in December, as the legislature scandal broke, that: 鈥淚f the outcome of those audits did not outrage the public, did not outrage taxpayers, did not make them throw up, I will resign as Speaker.鈥�
Well, Mr. Plecas, we aren鈥檛 throwing up everywhere now that your report is out. Even if all the allegations prove to be true, British Columbians have tolerated these improprieties before.
So spare the people who elected you in your home riding of Abbotsford South the effort of launching a recall campaign. Do the honourable thing and step down, as you said you would. Our stomachs are just fine.
