I was happy to read the article about the Laurel Point cleanup.
However, as a resident of an area that has become the dumping ground for contaminated soil from various Victoria cleanup operations, I can鈥檛 help but wonder where the Laurel Point soil is going. As in the past, when cleanup projects are announced, this information is not mentioned.
Will it be trucked over the Malahat or barged to Bamberton so it can be conveniently dumped away from the city that created it? What community will be the dumping ground this time?
