The real issue, I believe, in the current federal political turmoil dates back several weeks to when the prime minister dropped British Columbia MP Jody Wilson-Raybould from the minister of justice and attorney general portfolio in his cabinet shuffle.

I heard Wilson-Raybould deliver an enlightening keynote speech at the sa国际传媒 Natural Resources Forum in Prince George a few years ago when she was regional chief of the sa国际传媒 Assembly of First Nations, and I had a chance to chat briefly with her.

Having worked with Indigenous people in several public land-use processes over the past 25 years, I thought I knew something about First Nations history in sa国际传媒, but Wilson-Raybould gave us an entirely new and refreshing perspective in her speech. I was delighted when Justin Trudeau appointed her to his cabinet, and I was shocked and disbelieving when she was shunted aside. I believe this will prove to have been a colossal political mistake by the PM.

I sincerely hope and believe that we have not heard the last of this highly qualified and principled British Columbia individual in federal politics.
