Re: "Woodwynn camp defies ouster order," Aug. 9.
I would like the municipal council of Central Saanich to reconsider its decision regarding the rezoning of Woodwynn Farm and the closure of Camp Compassion.
I am a member of Close To Home, and as the mother of a homeless, grown son with mental-health and drug challenges, I pray that no member of council has to go through what I and other parents are going through daily. If they ever find themselves in our position, I hope there will be a Woodwynn Farm for them and their loved ones.
We all deserve a home, whether it is a mansion in the Uplands or a tiny tent in a field. Giving a hand up to those who are having a difficult time is why we are here. I am a proud supporter of Woodwynn Farm and the work Richard Leblanc is doing in creating Homefulness for us all.
