Re: "A young life comes full circle," Aug. 19.
What an uplifting story from Evan and Carole James.
What saddened me was reading the section titled "Drug and alcohol addiction help in Greater Victoria." Under the topic of residential treatment, it stated: "No public centres currently exist on Vancouver Island. There are private centres, but patients must pay unless their employer, union or insurance company covers costs."
How is this fair for those who are marginalized in society? Only those who are of a certain class get treatment?
Woodwynn Farms is offering a public answer, yet gets roadblocks at every step. Is it not time for one solution being offered to be accepted so our loved ones who are desiring to make change will have a hand up?
