If you’re a wealthy buyer who missed out on one of the penthouses at the under-construction Vancouver House in downtown Vancouver, now’s your chance. And for the rest of us who can only dream of such luxury, just check out this jaw-dropping home and even more amazing roof deck.
A deep-pocketed investor who snapped up Penthouse 1 at the soon-to-be-iconic downtown highrise has re-listed the purchase contract (otherwise known as flipping) for $10,888,900. The unit was the highest-priced new condo listing in the region last week (September 10-16).
This is the second time the seller has tried to flip this penthouse, having for $11.88 million.
Records also show that the penthouse was sold in 2015 for $6 million, so if the seller gets their new asking price, it looks like a $4.88 million flip profit. However, we also know they paid for $50K in upgrades that include an interior elevator, a two-car garage and lots of storage space.
The says Penthouse 1 has 2,334 square feet of living space, two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms and expansive living and entertaining areas.
Even bigger than the generous interior is the massive outside space, at 2,336 square feet – including five outdoor patios and a huge private rooftop deck with hot tub.
The twisting building, which has seen its share of headlines over its controversial overseas marketing campaign, is designed by Danish starchitect Bjarke Ingels and is due to be completed in 2019.
Check out the renderings below to get an idea of this ultra-luxe home. There are several two-level penthouses in the building, and this is the south/south-east-facing unit – some of the renderings represent similar units facing other directions. But frankly, we’d be happy with any of them…
