Welcome to Sunfest Country Music Festival 2019! Vancouver Island’s largest music festival is gearing up for its best year ever. Hosted at the pristine, 172-acre Laketown Ranch in Lake Cowichan, there is entertainment to suit everyone at Sunfest. Featuring performances by Jason Aldean (recently crowned ‘Artist of the Decade’), Maren Morris, Kip Moore, Randy Houser and many more over the August long weekend. There are over 35 bands that will perform over three stages at the Ranch during the four day festival, Thursday to Sunday, Aug. 1 to 4.

With over 40,000 guests in attendance throughout the weekend, Sunfest has become an Island favorite. Country music fans enjoy the best Nashville has to offer, along with great food, and fun times with friends, there’s no shortage of memories to be made at this festival. There are plenty of activities to enjoy at the show including Sunfest’s famous slip ‘n slide, loads of games, and new for 2019, a double Zipline that is sure to thrill fans as they are propelled directly overtop of the concert bowl!

There is an abundance of camping available at the Ranch. With over 1800 campsites on the property, guests have a variety of locations to choose from. Be sure to secure your space well in advance, camping often sells out fast.

Sunfest has always been a family-friendly event, free for kids 12 and under, and this year is no different. With family camping areas and a designated family zone within the concert bowl, little ones are encouraged to dance their heart out all while enjoying the beautiful summer sunshine.

There is plenty of parking on-site, and there are shuttles running guests to and from the festival grounds over the course of the weekend. There are also on-site shuttles to help guests travel from their campsites to the concert bowl and Laketown Flats village.

While there is plenty of entertainment at the festival, guests are encouraged to extend their stay and soak up all the Cowichan Valley has to offer. From hiking the local trails, tubing the river, enjoying the lake, or strolling along the seaside, the Valley is a terrific vacation destination for every festival crew.
