Olympic diver Celina Toth, who is set to compete in Tokyo Aug. 4-5, recently got an unusual message of support from her boyfriend, a sa国际传媒 Transit driver, who is prevented by the pandemic from cheering her on in person.
Stephen Bains lined up five buses side-by-side at the Langford Transit Centre, three double-deckers bookended by two singles.
With the help of the sa国际传媒 Transit team, he had them display the message FLY HIGH CELINA #TOKYO 2020NE.
鈥淚鈥檓 so excited for Celina, because she has worked so hard to get to this moment,鈥 Bains said. 鈥淚 can鈥檛 be there with her and I wanted to show my pride in a unique way, so I came up with an idea to use buses to send her a special message.鈥
Toth is scheduled to compete in the 10-metre platform event next week.
