OTTAWA - A report card on sa国际传媒's performance at the 2013 women's world hockey championship, rated on a scale of one to 10:

Overall: sa国际传媒 demands gold from its hockey teams, male or female. The Canadian women have to figure out a way to beat the U.S. consistently.

Score: 7 out of 10.

Goaltending: Poised and quick, Shannon Szabados kept sa国际传媒 in the gold-medal game when her team was outplayed by the Americans. Charline Labonte and Genvieve Lacasse will have a tough time dethroning Szabados as sa国际传媒's No. 1 goaltender when the team comes together to prepare for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Score: 8 out of 10.

Defence: sa国际传媒 allowed only three goals in four games heading into the final, but the Americans scored two of their three goals off odd-man rushes. sa国际传媒's defenders need to move the puck with more accuracy under U.S. pressure, but also need more support from the forwards.

Score: 6 out of 10.

Forwards: sa国际传媒 spread its 33 goals between 14 players, which means there's scoring depth up front. The U.S. doesn't give up many quality scoring chances, so sa国际传媒 has to get more pucks into Vetter's skates and score dirty goals. Marie-Philip Poulin had a breakout tournament as leading scorer and MVP. Power forward Jennifer Wakefield took a step forward in her game. sa国际传媒's goalscorers need to step up in big games.

Score: 7 out of 10.

Coaching: This was sa国际传媒's second world championship with Dan Church as head coach and he's 1-1 in finals versus the U.S. He's incorporating younger talent into the lineup and with that comes growing pains.

Score: 7 out of 10.
