The host AppleSox (14-10) swept the three-game West Coast League baseball set against Victoria (11-9) with a 3-2 victory Thursday night.

Victoria鈥檚 six-game road trip ended 1-5.

鈥淩ealistically, we would have liked to have gone 3-3,鈥 Victoria head coach Dennis Rogers said. 鈥淚t was another unearned run that beat us tonight.鈥

But this is baseball, which means another chance at redemption is never far from hand.

Victoria is playing 12 games in 12 days, concluding with a six-game home stand at Royal Athletic Park which begins tonight with the first of three games against Kelowna, followed by three against the Walla Walla Sweets.

鈥淣ow we come back home to see if we can put something together,鈥 Rogers said.

The HarbourCats started Logan Lombana, with the Long Beach State hurler going five innings, allowing two runs and two hits. The loss went to Joe Navilhon (1-2) in relief.

For the second consecutive night, Victoria outhit Wenatchee but couldn鈥檛 get value out of that advantage, leaving seven men stranded.

Alex DeGoti provided what offensive spark there was for the HarbourCats with two hits and a run.
