Beacon Hill defeated host Central Saanich 10-1 on Sunday in the championship game of the Little League District 7 playoff tournament.
Beacon Hill, which survived a 2-1 semifinal against Lakehill, got a home run from Matt Butler in the final against Central Saanich, while winning pitcher Dylan Lockyer went the distance.
Beacon Hill won the title for the sixth time in the past seven years and will represent District聽7 in the sa国际传媒 Little League championships beginning next weekend in Trail.
The sa国际传媒 champion will advance to the Canadian Little League championships Aug. 2-11 in Mirabel, Que., with the winner from that representing the nation at the 2018 Little League World Series Aug. 16-26 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
