Blake Thompson and David Mazurek scored 39 seconds apart early in the second period to pace the Victoria Grizzlies to an impressive 7-3 victory in Prince George on Saturday night.

The loss was the first regulation-time setback at home for the Spruce Kings and gets the Grizzlies back on the right track after two straight sa国际传媒 Hockey League losses.

Myles Powell, Myles Fitzgerald, Stefan Nichol-ishen, Chase Kaiser and Mark McLellan also scored for the Grizzlies. D.J. Jones had four assists while Powell and Kaiser added a pair of helpers each as Victoria improves to 13-7-0-1.

Four of the seven goals came via the power play.

Lyndon Martell, Mitch Eden and Bradley Ryan replied for the Spruce Kings, who fall to 11-6-0-1 with their third straight loss.

Brady Rouleau made 39 saves to earn his sixth win in goal for Victoria, which returns home Friday to face the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, who hammered Powell River 6-1 on Saturday.

"Eleven goals scored in two games, hopefully we saved some, too, for when we get home," said Grizzlies general manager and head coach Bill Bestwick.

IN THE DEN: Grizzlies forward Dante Hahn had an empty-net goal and two assists as the West blanked the East 5-0 in the CJHL Prospects game in Digby, N.S., on Saturday. The two teams will meet again today in Yarmouth as part of the World Junior A Challenge championship weekend.
