Boyd (2-2) went seven complete innings for the win, giving up no runs, three hits, two walks with four strikeouts.
This time the Victoria bullpen held up, something it did not do in two previous losses Monday to Corvallis and Sunday to Walla Walla, as Travis Kuhn struck out five and allowed one hit with no walks in two relief innings.
The Victoria offensive output was powered by doubles hit by Harrison Bragg, Hunter Vansau, Jake Garella and Tanner Rempel, the latter who had three hits.
The victory moved the 鈥機ats to 11-13 in the North Division. The South Division-leading Knights are 14-9.
The HarbourCats conclude their three-game set tonight in Corvallis before returning to host the Cowlitz Black Bears for a three-game set beginning Thursday evening at Royal Athletic Park. The series will also feature a special sa国际传媒 Day game on Saurday at 1 p.m.
Meanwhile, Adam McKillican of the HarbourCats was named WCL pitcher of the week for his two wins in that span. McKillican threw in 132脷3 innings and allowed no runs while walking only one and striking out seven over the week. The Comox Valley product, who pitches for the UBC Thunderbirds, earned home victories versus Port Angeles on June 19 and Walla Walla on June 24. The right-hander is 3-0 this season with a 1.68 ERA. This is his second WCL pitcher of the week honour this season.
