The Burnaby Lakers snapped a four-game Victoria Shamrocks’ winning streak with a 13-10 Western Lacrosse Association victory on Friday night at Bill Copeland Arena.
The Lakers improved to 4-4, while Victoria fell to 5-3.
Eli McLaughlin led Burnaby with four goals, while Dane Stevens recorded the hat-trick.
Casey Jackson scored four goals for Victoria, while Chris Wardle added three goals and three assists, Tyson Gibson a goal and five assists and Jesse King a goal and four assists.
The score was tied 3-3 after the first period while Burnaby led 9-7 after two.
The Shamrocks play again next Friday night in the Island derby against the Nanaimo Timbermen at The Q Centre.
