The Camosun Chargers advanced to the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association men鈥檚 semifinal against the No. 1-seeded Red Deer Kings via a 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-20) quarter-final victory over the Mohawk Mountaineers on Thursday. Red Deer downed the St. Thomas Tommies 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-16) in the opener of the national championship at Douglas College in New Westminster.

The semifinal goes tonight at 6.

The Chargers crowned the Kings in a five-set marathon in last year鈥檚 semifinal.

Camosun鈥檚 Savana Walkingbear was named player of the match Thursday.
