Canucks storm back for fourth straight win

The Vancouver Canucks have apparently come up with a new game plan. Fall behind early, then storm back in the third period.

The Vancouver Canucks have apparently come up with a new game plan. Fall behind early, then storm back in the third period.

Hockey's version of the rope-a-dope worked again last night as Vancouver rallied from two goals down in the third period to beat the Phoenix Coyotes 4-3. The win was the Canucks' fourth straight, matching a season-high, and moved them past the Minnesota Wild and into sixth place in the Western Conference standings.

Pavol Demitra, Kevin Bieksa and Henrik Sedin all scored in the third period for the Canucks.

Goalie Roberto Luongo allowed two goals on just five Phoenix shots in the first period and was beaten on the first one faced.

Mattias Ohlund cut the Phoenix lead to 2-1 when he ripped a point shot past Ilya Bryzgalov at 17:51 of the second. -- Canwest News Service
