Pacific FC is in danger of not getting a home playoff game following its 2-1 loss to Cavalry FC on Thursday night in Calgary.
Cavalry FC moved two points ahead of PFC atop the Canadian Premier League table with three games remaining for each team. Lurking are two-time defending champion Forge FC of Hamilton, Ont., which is two points adrift of PFC with three games in hand. The top two seeds will host the league semifinals next month with the top remaining seed hosting the final.

Hometown Victoria-product Sean Young scored PFC鈥檚 lone goal at 89 minutes for his first career pro counter, on an assist from veteran Marco Bustos, after Cavalry FC goals by Daan Klomp at six minutes and 颅former PFC and Major League Soccer player David Norman Jr. at 71 minutes.

Cavalry FC has taken the driver鈥檚 seat down the home stretch.

Pacific FC returns home to face seventh-place FC Edmonton next Tuesday and York United, in a battle for the fourth and final playoff berth, on Oct. 30 at Starlight Stadium before playing Toronto FC of Major League 颅Soccer in the Canadian Championship semifinals Nov. 3 at BMO Field.
