The defending Coastal Conference-champion Alberni Valley Bulldogs (7-4) defeated the Cranbrook Bucks (3-8-1) 5-3 on Wednesday and meet the Trail Smoke Eaters (4-3-3) today in Seattle. The Nanaimo Clippers (5-4-1) were playing the Smoke Eaters late Wednesday night in the Showcase and close out against the Prince George Spruce Kings (2-3-3) today.
