The Westshore Rebels have confirmed their plans for a gala fundraising dinner to be held May 13 at Olympic View Golf Course.

According to the team, the event — to include speakers, an auction, prizes and giveaways — will raise funds for Rebels’ players in the form of scholarships and player development efforts as they continue to strengthen the organization.

Speakers for the event will include Victoria native Brian Ramsay of the 2015 Grey Cup champion Edmonton Eskimos and his quarterback, Mike Reilly. Metchosin’s Tim O’Neill and sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Lions teammate Adam Bighill, CFL Hall of Famer Dave Cutler and TSN’s Farhan Lalji will also attend. O’Neill’s No. 55 Rebels jersey will be also be retired.

Single tickets can be purchased for $99 at westshorerebels.ca or a table of eight can be bought for $750.
