From one island to another, amateur Callum Davison of Duncan won the Brudenell River Classic golf tournament Friday in Prince Edward Island.

Davison shot a final round three-under 69 to finish the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour sa国际传媒 event at 15-under, one better than Noah Steele of Kingston, Ont.

Davison and Steele are both members of the Canadian national amateur team.

鈥淚t feels great,鈥 said Davison.

鈥淚 hit it great off the tee all week, so that was huge. And I made some putts when I needed to.鈥

Davison described the weather as 鈥渢errible鈥 as the remains of Hurricane Ida rolled through P.E.I.

The annual Victoria stop on the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour sa国际传媒, the Reliance Properties DCBank Open presented by the sa国际传媒, is set for Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 at Uplands.

A special local qualifier, in which five spots will be available into the Victoria pro tournament, will be held Sunday at Gorge Vale.
