The Gorge Vale Golf Course member, who recently moved to Cobble Hill, was one of just three players to record sub-par rounds. His 1-under 70 left him with a three-day total of 211 to handily take first place at Bear Mountain鈥檚 Valley Course on Thursday, winning by four shots.

鈥淚t means a lot to me, personally,鈥 Wilson said in a statement. 鈥淭his is the biggest event I鈥檝e ever won. And to do it in my hometown and in front of friends and family, it鈥檚 a great feeling. I was definitely hitting the ball well all week, hitting a lot of fairways and greens. I thought I was going to have to go a little lower today [to win], but when I saw Erik [Hanson] and Rob [Olson] struggling on the front nine, I knew I just needed to make pars and I鈥檇 be OK.鈥

Club champion Olson placed second despite struggling to a 4-over 75 in his last round after an opening 71 on Tuesday and 69 on Wednesday.

Reid Hatley of Hayden Lake, Idaho, Bjorn Bjorke of Port Orchard, Washington, and Michael Kloenne of West Linn, Oregon, all finished tied for third with 216 totals, one shot further back of Olson. Royal Colwood鈥檚 Kevin Carrigan (74-70-73), Vancouver鈥檚 Michale McAleer (68-74-75) and Sean Packer of Seattle (73-73-71) all tied for sixth.
