Robbie Greenwell from North Halton Golf and Country Club, topped a stacked field at Sunday’s third installment of the Bayview Place Vikes Performance Tour, this one played on a beautiful day at Cordova Bay Golf Course.
Thirty-seven golfers competed event, and among the field were Champions Tour player Jim Rutledge from Uplands and top-ranked amateur Kevin Carrigan of Royal Colwood.
Greenwell took the victory by a single shot by firing a 1-under par 70. Tied for second place, at even par 71, were a group of players including Eric Wang, a pro from Valley Golf Center, pro Ben Griffin from Uplands and Brent Wilson of Gorge Vale.
The next stop for the Bayview Place Performance Tour is at Gorge Vale next Monday.
The tour’ Order of Merit leaders after three rounds are Brayden Eriksen of Pheasant Glen with 979 points, Wang with 953 and Wilson with 900. Rounding out the top-five are Griffin with 825 and Justin Fram of Victoria Golf Club with 680.
The top-three on the tour will earn berths into the Bayview Place DC Bank Open stop, from June 7-10 at Uplands, on the PGA Tour sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½. — sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½
