VICTORIA 4 CHILLIWACK 2

When it comes to scoring early this sa国际传媒 Hockey League season, the Victoria Grizzlies have relied heavily on their triple threat - the Fitzgerald triplets.

That didn't change Saturday night as Gerry Fitzgerald had a goal and an assist to pace the visitors to a 4-2 win over the Chilliwack Chiefs at Prospera Place.

Of the 16 goals the Grizzlies have scored, nine have come from the triplets - Gerry, Myles or Leo.

However, the Grizz got the balance they were looking for as Stefan Nicholishen, D.J. Jones and David Mazurek (empty-netter) also scored for Victoria, which outshot Chilliwack 41-39. Josh Hansen and Cooper Rush replied for the Chiefs.

Mike Stiliadis started in goal for the second straight night for the Grizzlies as Brady Rouleau fights off a bug.

With the win, Victoria improves to 4-1-0-1 and the Grizzlies will wrap up their three-game road trip with a 2 p.m. start this afternoon in Coquitlam against the undefeated (4-0-0-0) Express.

With the win Victoria bounced back from a 3-2 defeat in Surrey on Friday.

"We generated a lot of scoring opportunities," Grizzlies general manager and head coach Bill Bestwick said of Friday's chances. "We dictated territorial play and puck possession, but the one stat we fell short on was the most important, the scoreboard."

Bestwick was back behind the bench on Saturday after sitting out a onegame suspension.
