They aren鈥檛 going anywhere.
The Victoria Grizzlies are staying put in Colwood, at least for the next five sa国际传媒 Hockey League seasons.
The BCHL club and the West Shore Parks and Recreation Society announced Wednesday they have hammered out a new contract that will keep the Grizzlies playing at The Q Centre for the next five years.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The sides worked their way through their recent impasse.
鈥淲e鈥檙e glad to be able to focus on the ice and not on the boardroom table, and to get going in full for planning the 2015-16 season,鈥 Grizzlies president John Wilson said in a statement.
鈥淚t was not easy to find a solution that both sides could work with going forward, and I think both sides would agree this is not precisely what they were after. But we are done, we have agreed, and it鈥檚 time to play hockey.鈥
Both sides seem relieved to have this behind them.
鈥淭he Grizzlies are a lively addition to the West Shore sports scene and we are delighted to have them continue the action at The Q Centre,鈥 said Linda Barnes, administrator of the West Shore Parks and Recreation Society.
鈥淲e鈥檝e heard clearly that the Grizzlies are a well-loved community team.鈥
The Grizzlies begin training camp on Aug. 21, with the season slated to start Sept. 11.
