Grizzlies snap losing streak with win over Clippers

The Victoria Grizzlies (13-14) snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-2 sa国际传媒 Hockey League victory over the 颅Nanaimo Clippers on Saturday night at the Q Centre.

The Victoria Grizzlies (13-14) snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-2 sa国际传媒 Hockey League victory over the ­Nanaimo Clippers on Saturday night at the Q Centre.

The Grizzlies’ 16-year-old star rookie Matthew Wood, projected for the 2023 NHL draft, scored twice and has 22 goals on the season. Jackson Morehouse and Connor Eddy scored the other Grizzlies goals.

Sean Donaldson, committed to Cornell of the NCAA, scored his 23rd of the season for Nanaimo (17-10) and Mateo Dixon his first.

Both teams now enter the Christmas break with the Grizzlies returning to play Powell River on Jan. 1 and the Clippers meeting Coquitlam on Jan. 2.
