The host Chilliwack Chiefs play feature games on Friday and Saturday nights, Sept. 25 and 26, in the sa国际传媒 Hockey League Bauer Showcase.
The former is against the defending league champion Penticton Vees and the latter against the Victoria Grizzlies.
The tournament brings together BCHL teams in one place from Sept. 24, to Sept. 27 for pro and NCAA scouts.
The secondary rink at Prospera Centre, which was not supposed to be used this year, becomes necessary for one game as the Wenatchee Wild from Washington state have joined the BCHL. The Wild will play the Vernon Vipers on the secondary sheet of ice for a Saturday matinee.
About 200 scouts from the NCAA and professional ranks are expected at this year鈥檚 Showcase. The defending league champion Penticton Vees play on the opening night against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs and then face the host Chiefs on Friday night.
The Grizzlies close out their Bauer tourney involvement with a matinee on Sept. 27 against the Prince George Spruce Kings.
The games kick off the BCHL鈥檚 regular-season.
