The trilogy continues with the provincial single-A senior boy's soccer title on the line.

Glenlyon Norfolk School will have an opportunity to add to its Island championship right on its home field at 1 p.m. today as the Gryphons face the St. Andrew's Sabres in the sa国际传媒 final.

The Victoria schools have split two previous meetings this season, the Gryphons winning the Island crown 2-1 before the Sabres avenged that loss last week with a 2-1 win in the Colonist Cup semifinal.

"A final is a final. Past results between us and GNS do not matter at this point," said Mark Cristante, coach of the Sabres, who are also co-hosts of the provincial event. "Anything can happen.

"All I can say is that our boys are up and ready for [today's] match and are willing to leave everything on the field to achieve their goals. It will be a thrilling matchup. That is all I can guarantee."

The Sabres defeated St. John Brebeuf 1-0 in their last round-robin game Friday morning on a goal by Patrick Piekarz, then toppled Mulgrave in the semi-final in the afternoon by the same score on a goal by Calvin Paterson.

The Gryphons tied Kelowna Christian 1-1 in their final round-robin game in the morning with a goal from Francis Mborh but still advanced to the semifinal, where Glenlyon dumped Immaculata 3-0 (goalscorers were unavailable at press time). Jason Bradbury had led the Gryphons in scoring with four goals up until Friday.

Paterson had led the Sabres with four goals.

"Our boys are extremely excited to have made the final," Cristante said. "Both games were very tight [Friday] and the boys played very well. They did what they had to do to win and continue on in trying to achieve the goals that we set out at the beginning of the season.

"They are very excited to meet GNS in the final and know that it will be a tight and physically demanding game. We are very proud of the way they are playing and adapting on the fly to systems that other teams are playing against us," he added. "They are showing resilience and have given everything to be in the final."

Immaculata will face Mulgrave for bronze at 11: 15 a.m. at GNS.
