HarbourCats bring back Andreychuk, Walker

Infielder Griffin Andreychuk of Nanaimo, who plays in the WAC for Seattle University, has signed to return in 2016 for his third season with the Victoria HarbourCats of the West Coast League.

Andreychuk hit .385 this season with 25 RBIs, 34 runs, five homers and six stolen bases and was named the HarbourCats 2015 Player of the Year and was also selected as a WCL second-team all-star.

Another player who signed on to return Monday is pitcher Josh Walker from Chino Hills, California, who made 19 appearances this season in going 1-2 with a .396 ERA.

Also signed were newcomers Kyle Peeler, a pitcher from Las Vegas, and Matt Warkentin, a pitcher and fielder out of the University of San Francisco, to bring to eight the number of players signed by the HarbourCats for the 2016 season.
