The Victoria HarbourCats trounced the Bend Elks 12-3 in a West Coast League baseball game Friday night in Oregon.
Nick Plaia had two hits and two RBIs. Nate Pecota two hits and two runs scored for Victoria.
The first-half North Division-champion HarbourCats are 3-2 in the second half of the season and 21-11 overall. The Elks are 2-2 and 12-16 in the South Division.
The teams meet again tonight and Sunday to close out the series in Bend.
Victoria defeated the Ridgefield Raptors 8-2 in a late-finishing game Thursday night in Washington state as the expansion Raptors fell to 2-2 and 15-16.
The HarbourCats and Raptors split four consecutive games against each other 2-2, the first three of which were played in Victoria.
