The Victoria HarbourCats will open their sixth West Coast League baseball regular season at home with a set June 1-3 against the Wenatchee AppleSox.

The WCL announced its 2018 schedule Monday.

Royal Athletic Park will be seeing a lot of early-season action as the HabourCats also take on the Yakima Valley Pippins at home June 5-7 in another three-game set that sees Victoria open with six consecutive home games.

The first regular-season road series of the season is June 12-14 in Kelowna against the Falcons.

The 54-game regular season for Victoria concludes at home Aug. 6-8 against the Portland Pickles.

The HarbourCats will again play in the North Division, joining the Falcons, AppleSox, Pippins, Bellingham Bells and Port Angeles Lefties. The South Division includes the Bend Elks, Corvallis Knights, Cowlitz Black Bears, Walla Walla Sweets and the Pickles.

The WCL all-star game is July 17 in Port Angeles.

The divisional playoffs are Aug. 9-11 and the WCL championship series Aug. 13-17.

Victoria swept Kelowna in the North Division final last season before losing 2-1 to Corvallis in the best-of-three 2017 WCL final.

The HarbourCats will also play two cross-strait exhibition games next season against the Lefties, May 30 at Royal Athletic and May 31 in Port Angeles.
