The Victoria Royals defeated the Kelowna Rockets 4-3 in a Western Hockey League game Friday night in the Okanagan.
Belarusian import forward Igor Martynov scored twice and added an assist for Victoria.
Bueliner and Montreal Canadiens third-round draft pick Scott Walford added a goal and two assists.
Tanner Sidaway scored the other Royals goal.
Scoring for Kelowna were Nolan Foote with two goals and Lassi Thomson, with Kyle Topping of Salt Spring Island picking up two assists.
The three are among a Western Hockey League-leading six Rockets players ranked by Central Scouting for the 2019 NHL draft, including projected first- or second-rounders Foote, Thomson, and Kaedan Korczak. The others are Topping, Alex Swetlikoff and goaltender Roman Basran.
This is the core group the Rockets are building around for the 2020 Memorial Cup, which Kelowna will host.
James Porter started the game in goal for Kelowna, making 13 saves, before being replaced by Basran after Martynov鈥檚 second goal made it 4-2 at 3:34 of the third period.
Veteran Royals goaltender Griffen Outhouse made 24 saves for the victory.
Victoria (24-20-1) is in second place in the sa国际传媒 Division on 49 points.
Third-place Kelowna (19-23-4) had a two-game win streak snapped and is on 42 points, having played one more game than Victoria.
The Royals continue on the road Saturday night with a game in Kamloops against the Blazers.
