A solo homer by six-foot-three slugger Trey Bigford of Burkburnett, Texas, in the seventh inning was pretty much the highlight of the night for the Victoria HarbourCats on Wednesday in a 7-1 West Coast League loss to the Falcons in Kelowna.
Falcons starter Jared Akin was the workhorse hero of the night for Kelowna, handcuffing the HarbourCats’ batters with a one-run-allowed pitching performance through eight innings.
Austin Butler had two RBIs to power the Kelowna offence.
