King brothers lead Shamrocks to WLA victory against 'Bellies

The King brothers paced the Victoria Shamrocks (4-1) to a 12-10 victory over the host New Westminster Salmonbellies (2-4) in a Western Lacrosse Association game Thursday night at Queen’s Park Arena.

Jesse King had two goals and five assists for seven points and younger sibling Marshal King four goals and two assists for six points.

Jake Foster also had six points for Victoria, including a hat-trick. Jacob Ruest added a hat-trick on a four-point night.

Veteran Mitch Jones of New Westminster had four goals and five assists for nine points to lead the ’Bellies.

The Shamrocks return to host the Langley Thunder on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Q Centre.
