Marshal King scored the winner as the Victoria Shamrocks (4-1-1) edged the host Nanaimo Timbermen (4-4) 10-9 in a Western Lacrosse Association game Saturday night at Frank Crane Arena.
First-star Tom Vaesen led the Shamrocks offence with two goals and three assists while Victoria goaltender Cam Dunkerley was named third star for his 51-save performance. Zach Manns led Nanaimo with four goals to be named game second star.
