There was a time, oh say, five years ago when Oprah Winfrey鈥檚 opinion could or anyone鈥檚 reputation.
But that鈥檚 no longer the case. The two-part interview she conducted with Lance Armstrong did little to improve his public image after admitting to using performance enhancing drugs.
A new found that nearly half of Americans who watched the interview feel Armstrong shouldn鈥檛 be forgiven for taking drugs and lying about it. Nearly half of those surveyed felt Armstrong wasn鈥檛 remorseful enough, while 56 per cent felt he held some information back.
The that the interview actually did more harm than good. According to a poll conducted by the newspaper, 51 per cent of viewers said he shouldn鈥檛 get credit for his accomplishments after watching the interview, compared to 37 per cent before the episode aired, while 30 per cent said he should get credit, compared to 45 per cent before the episode aired.
For her part, Winfrey, who is currently touring sa国际传媒 , thinks Armstrong is
tuned in for the Thursday night broadcast, but only 1.77 million tuned in for the second half on Friday night. In sa国际传媒, the interview was the highest rated show across English-language cable networks.
