The Edmonton Oil Kings scored two first-period goals and went on to beat the Kamloops Blazers 2-1 in the Western Hockey League on Tuesday.
Mitchell Moroz, 21 seconds into the game, and Henrik Samuelsson, at 13: 58 on a power play, had the goals for Edmonton (11-4-3) at the Interior Savings Centre.
Brendan Ranford scored at 12: 53 of the third period for Kamloops (17-2-2).
Kamloops goaltender Cole Cheveldave stopped 24 shots, while Laurent Brossoit of the Oil Kings turned aside 31.
