PGA Tour sa国际传媒 is still on the hunt for a national sponsor as it looks to extend the current nine-stop circuit to 12 or 13 tournaments with future stops likely in the Vancouver and Toronto areas, as well as in Quebec.
鈥淲e are moving forward and we are having some conversations,鈥 PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem said of finding a national sponsor for PGA Tour sa国际传媒.
鈥淭he thing about a national sponsor is, it鈥檚 just like a tournament 鈥 you want a sponsor because it assists your ability to stage the event, but in this case, it鈥檚 important to have the right sponsor.
鈥淲eb.com Tour [the PGA鈥檚 main development tour] has become such a great sponsor with that tour,鈥 explained Finchem. 鈥淵ou want a sponsor that will have the ability, the inclination, the market focus to be engaged across the spectrum of the tour in the various markets.
鈥淣ot every company fits that bill so we鈥檙e taking our time. It鈥檚 not a pre-requisite for this tour being successful, but we think it would bring more energy, more support and more focus to the growth.鈥
