With the 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship just a few weeks away, organizers on Wednesday announced that Help Fill a Dream will be the official charity partner for the PGA Tour Champions event.

The tour stops in Calgary this week for the Shaw Charity Classic before taking a week off then heading to Pebble Beach Golf Links for the Nature Valley First Tee Open from Sept. 16-18, prior to heading back north to Bear Mountain the following week.

Help Fill a Dream has made dreams come true for sick children in Victoria and Vancouver Island for 30 years, touching the lives of 2,220 children and their families at most difficult times, said executive director Craig Smith.

鈥淲e at Help Fill a Dream are thrilled to be the charity partner for such an amazing event,鈥 Smith said in a statement. 鈥淚t is a unique opportunity for us to highlight the impact of dreams. Our programming is focused on making life better for children with life-threatening conditions and we can only make that happen with the support of the entire community and outstanding partners like the 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship.鈥

Over the years, PGA Tour (and many of its chapters like PGA Tour sa国际传媒 and PGA Tour Champions) have contributed substantially to causes, raising more than $2 billion in all-time charitable-giving.

鈥淧acific Links is pleased to support Help Fill a Dream with their mission of making life better for children with serious illnesses. For most of us, a Band-Aid is all we need to mend the hurt of our children. With gratitude and generosity, we proudly support these families through this charity and hope you will join us in making a difference,鈥 Charles Lorimer, chief operating officer at Pacific Links International, said in the statement.

Pro-ams on Sept. 21 and 22 will kick off The Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship, followed by the 54-hole tournament beginning Sept. 23. Tickets for the event are available at selectyourtickets.com.

Bernhard Langer, who won last week鈥檚 Boeing Classic event at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge in Washington, is among the players in the field at Bear Mountain.
